Wedding Place emerged from the frustration of Kristy Ouwerkerk and her husband when organising their wedding registry. They could only register with an individual store and so reduced the range of gifts they could include in their registry. Wedding Place was then founded and developed by Kristy and her sister Tania. They realised that if they offered a comprehensive gift registry service on the web then they could offer a service that the major chains could not ,providing their customers with unprecedented access to products and services of many of Australia´s favourite stores all on one site.
